Indie-rock band Fables of Cantt is the work of singer/songwriter Nabil Qizilbash. Born in the UAE, Nabil formed the band with the mission to revive and fuse the analog sound of yesteryear with today's pop culture. The band members include award-winning fine artist Zara Mahmood, pioneering radio personality Afaq Ahmed, and East Berlin trained underground drummer Thomas Mielenz. Our debut album Let’s Pretend was written and recorded in Dubai, Pakistan, and California and delivers pop melodies with undertones from genres including (but not limited to) eastern classical, punk, and alt-rock.
