Fifteen candidates will be selected based on their submitted work and divided into three groups. Each category of the competition will have five candidates vying for the internship.

The candidates will be given specific challenges (relevant to their category) and these need to be completed in the time allotted. The candidates will be encouraged to blog, video blog and post online their experiences whilst gathering the content for their challenge. Their adventures and experiences will be posted online where their followers will be able to vote for their favourite candidate.

Once the final challenge has been completed and submitted on the deadline date, Rolling Stone Middle East will deliberate and choose one winner from each category (taking into consideration the results of the public vote). The three winners will be awarded the summer internship placement at Rolling Stone Middle East.
